Welcome to the Godalming Music Festival. We are one of the largest and most comprehensive festivals in the South East, and regularly welcome more than 2000 entries each year.

We pride ourselves on offering classes to cater for most performers’ interests and talents. Classes include Music, Dance, Choirs, Speech and Drama and Musical Theatre.

We are a friendly and welcoming festival but expect high standards of performance and presentation. We are a member of The British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Speech and Dance, and have very experienced adjudicators for each section.

We believe that we offer participants an enjoyable and professionally rewarding experience, which will help them to develop their performance skills and confidence. The 2018 festival was a great success. All competitors are to be congratulated on their enthusiasm and for being so well prepared for their classes.

Our website has been updated again this year and we hope it will provide you with all you need to know about the festival. The website has replaced the previous printed syllabus, so please add it to your favourites and keep up to date with our regular postings. Our on line entry facility has been further improved to make it even easier to use. We have made it as secure as possible so that any data we capture through its pages will only be used for festival purposes. A contact form can be used to send queries to most members of the committee.

We are very grateful to all our Sponsors and Advertisers who enable us to run this highly regarded festival.

The annual cost to run the Festival increases year on year and our main source of income is fees for entry and admission fees to the public.  Our major expenditure is the hire of halls and professional fees for adjudicators and therefore we can only break even with the help of our Sponsors, Advertisers, and Friends.
