Welcome to the Godalming Music Festival. We are one of the largest and most comprehensive festivals in the South East, and regularly welcome more than 2000 entries each year.
We pride ourselves on offering classes to cater for most performers’ interests and talents. Classes include Music, Dance, Choirs, Speech and Drama and Musical Theatre.
We are a friendly and welcoming festival but expect high standards of performance and presentation. We are a member of The British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Speech and Dance, and have very experienced adjudicators for each section.
We believe that we offer participants an enjoyable and professionally rewarding experience, which will help them to develop their performance skills and confidence. The 2017 festival was a great success. All competitors are to be congratulated on their enthusiasm and for being so well prepared for their classes.
We have joined the 21st century with this new website which we hope will provide all you need to know about the festival. This will replace the printed syllabus so please add it to your favourites and keep up to date with our regular postings. We are excited to have launched our online entry facility for the 2018 Festival. We have made it as secure as possible so that any data we capture through its pages will only be used for festival purposes. A contact form can be used to send queries to most members of the committee.

We are very grateful to all our Sponsors and Advertisers who enable us to run this highly regarded festival.
Annually it now costs more than £24,000 to run the festival and our main source of income is fees for entry (£13,000) and admission fees to the public (£6,000). Our major expenditure is the hire of halls and professional fees for adjudicators and therefore we can only break even with the help of our Sponsors, Advertisers and Friends.
If you would like to advertise please contact Angus Palmer for our rates this year.
If you would like to sponsor a class in 2018 for a minimum fee of £25 please contact Angus Palmer at firstname.lastname@example.org
